He also taught law at Georgetown University Law Center. Under that School's aegis he was asked to design and teach what became Law for Managers in Georgetown's McDonough Business School MBA Program, which led to his joining the MBA faculty. His recorded Continuing Legal Education lectures for lawyers on NACLE and other platforms continue to receive top-tier ratings. He is also a regular guest speaker to business, professional and academic groups on legal, business and taxation topics. Maury also hosted and produced General Counsel a 42-segment cable-TV show.

In 1995 he was appointed by Virginia's Governor Allen to the Virginia Board of Professional and Occupational Regulation, overseeing commercial activity regulation in Virginia. He has experience as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association in commercial and realty construction cases.
